Contra Dancing during the 74th National Square Dance Convention
Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 26 – 28, 2025, Room 205
Morning: 10:00 am - Noon, (Introduction to Contras 10 - 11, Intro Followup 11 - Noon)
Afternoon: 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Evening: 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm (Live Band every evening)
Contra Dance to The Lowly Faulters
The Lowly Faulters are Ryan and Katie Elmore, a husband and wife folk due from Cleburne, Texas.
Having both grown up playing in Texas Style fiddle contests, they now play a wide-variety of styles influenced by Old-Time Celtic, and Swing.
Katie has now played fiddle for over 20 years and is President of the Texas Old Time Fiddlers Association.
Ryan became proficient on guitar in his teens after playing fiddle and piano for a few years. Then he played in many bands around Fort Worth.
Come dance to Katie and Ryan's terrific music each evening in the Contra Hall, room 205, 7 to 10 p.m.
